The Southern Tier Needles and Skeins Knitting Guild welcomes you to join or renew your membership for the coming year, which runs from September 2009 through August 2010. Guild membership includes admission to all meetings and programs (some meetings may require an additional fee or materials fee). Preferred registration for guild functions, special events and the Guild newsletter. Dues are $15.00 per year for an Email newsletter (only) and $20 per year for a paper newsletter (via snail mail) and are due at the September meeting. Make checks payable to Needles and Skeins. Bring membership form and payment to the September meeting or mail them to Needles and Skeins, PO Box 175, Binghamton, NY 13903.
The guild success depends on everyone’s participation. How can you help this year?
Program Committee
Help plan and coordinate guild programs, prepare handouts and samples, as needed.
Welcome Committee
Welcome newcomers and visitors to the meeting, help to orient newcomers and prepare and handout nametags.
Refreshment Committee
Prepare coffee, assign snacks, set and clean up refreshments.
Help Table
Staff and coordinate staffing of Help Table.
Publicity Committee
Distribute flyers and press releases about meetings or events. Identify new opportunities for publicity.
Ways and Means
Identify and coordinate fund raising opportunities to supplement guild’s income for guest speakers and guild events.
Community Service
Coordinate community service project by identifying community needs, suggesting projects and distributing knitted items.
Newsletter
Contribute information or articles for newsletter, fold label, stamp and mail newsletter.
